Purdie Pascoe 2024 Charity Round-Up
At Purdie Pascoe, one of our core values is being ‘Supportive.’ We are dedicated to helping local communities and charities, doing our part to assist those in need. Our charity initiative group works tirelessly throughout the year to identify how best we can support a variety of charities and local communities.
Local Youth Club Support
In 2024, our London based team partnered with Providence House, a local youth club that helps young people achieve their potential by providing a safe space to explore and develop their skills. We commissioned the youth club to create a bespoke piece of artwork, now proudly displayed in our London HQ office. Additionally, we made a Christmas donation of £1,000 to Providence House in December 2024. This funded their Christmas parties for various age groups and trips to Winter Wonderland and a trampoline park, offering the children some festive fun.
Parkinson’s Disease Research
Parkinson’s is a chronic and progressive neurodegenerative disease with up to 40 different symptoms. Shockingly, over 145,000 people in the UK have Parkinson's, making it the fastest-growing neurological illness in the world, with no current cure. Supporting those finding a cure for debilitating diseases is central to our mission at Purdie Pascoe.
Last summer, we sponsored a charity golf day organized by our Non-Executive Director, Simon Woodlock, who has been living with Parkinson's for over five years. The event was a great success, which collectively through funds being matched by a Charitable Trust, raised over £30,000 for Parkinson’s Disease Research.
Toy and Book Donations across the US and Canada
Our US and Canadian teams collaborated to gather and generously donate a variety of gifts such as books, toys and games for children and teenagers. These donations were gifted to a range of children, including those affected by hurricanes, which devastated some areas.
PTSD Resolution
PTSD Resolution is a UK veterans' mental health charity that helps Forces' Veterans and their families improve their mental health and cope with the impacts of trauma. Last year, Jonathan Thomson, long-term friend of Purdie Pascoe, and his team embarked on a challenging journey across the Pyrenees, cycling 700 kilometers and climbing 30,000 feet in just six days. Purdie Pascoe proudly supported their efforts, raising awareness and funds for this important cause.
Movember: Raising Awareness for Men’s Health
In November, the Purdie Pascoe team participated in Movember to raise awareness for crucial men’s health issues, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health. Through a collective effort, we raised £965, moved 3,351 kilometers, and grew six fabulous moustaches.
End of year Charity Donations
To conclude the year and embrace the spirit of giving, in December 2024, Purdie Pascoe donated £100/$130 per employee to a charity of their choice. We are proud to support a diverse array of charities worldwide in their noble efforts to assist those in need. See below to view the charities we supported:
